Doberman Companions

Dessa: Doberman Detective – May 1, 2025

Since I lost my last Doberman, I had been on the lookout for my next family pet and competition dog. I decide this time I wanted to rescue rather than get a puppy from a breeder. I have been without a Doberman for two years when I met Dessa (formerly Archer).

I fell for her almost immediately. She had been surrendered twice before the age of 8 months. The second time was for behavioral problems. She had a few undesirable behaviors but they were easily corrected.

She is very fast, intelligent, willing to play any game and always up for an adventure. She is great with kids and other dogs including my small dogs. I knew I had found my perfect match.

Dessa is an agility champion and the third Doberman to earn AKC’s highest scent work title of Detective Dog. In her working sports career, she earned 86 titles in agility, lure coursing, barn hunt and scent work. She is the perfect companion and working dog.
