Fostering

DRNM, Inc. ALWAYS has the need for additional foster homes. We cover most of the state of New Mexico and west Texas and have a lot of interaction from Arizona, receiving Dobermans from many sources. Foster homes are needed to care for rescued Dobermans until new adoptive homes can be found and can last for as little as 1-2 weeks, or can extend for many months. During that time, fosters provide shelter, house-breaking if needed and some assessment of temperament as well as food at their own expense (all medical procedures are paid for by DRNM).

We can also use help in local and highway transportation.   All of this helps us prepare the foster Doberman for a new, permanent home.  Foster homes are not required to do home visits or meet prospective adopters…only to care for the dog…the heart of rescue.  Without foster homes, we can’t meet our mission.

Please contact us if you would like more information to volunteer to be a foster home or to volunteer in other way.
